CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — The Southern Utah Home Builders Association is delighted to announce the 2024 St. George Area Parade of Homes – “Ignite Your Imagination” from Feb. 16-25. While the parade is renowned for featuring some of the most luxurious and innovative homes in the state, it’s essential to recognize that the same skilled builders and contractors responsible for these masterpieces are also the forces behind the quality homes that our community relies on daily.

“St. George Area Parade of Homes is not just an exhibition of high-end homes; it’s a celebration of the craftsmanship and dedication that our builders bring to every project, whether it’s a luxury home or an attainable single-family residence or townhome,” builder’s association president Skyler Stephens said. “These professionals apply the same standards of excellence to all their work, ensuring that quality, sustainable and attainable housing is accessible to many home buyers in our community.”

Presented by the Southern Utah Home Builders Association and Zions Bank, this year’s parade will feature 25 exceptional homes located throughout Washington County. This is a year full of fresh beginnings and innovative viewings. Every room will ignite your imagination with the possibilities that can come into your world, set in the blue sky and sunshine of the St. George area.

The St. George Area Parade of Homes is recognized statewide as one of the most sought-after parades. This year, as host and organizer behind this parade, the association emphasizes the longstanding impact the parade has on the community.

Association members work continuously to not only create the spectacular homes featured in the parade but also build and maintain attainable housing options for growing families in Washington County and beyond. They provide scholarships to those entering the construction field, create jobs, provide needed education, drive and direct policy surrounding water conservation, building and development, and support charitable projects facilitated by the Southern Utah Home Builders Care Foundation.

Additionally, a portion of every ticket sold is donated to the Southern Utah Home Builders Care Foundation, which aims to provide education and charitable construction-related services to individuals in need.

Last year, from the St. George Area Parade of Homes ticket proceeds, the association was able to donate $18,500 to the Southern Utah Home Builders Care Foundation and over $42,000 in education scholarships. This year, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to an organization that supports efforts to find attainable housing solutions.

Parade homes are available to view daily between Feb. 16-25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (the event closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25). Tickets cost $25 per person and are required for everyone age 3 and older; each includes a magazine with the parade map and home addresses. New this year, state-of-the-art virtual tours are included as an additional ticket benefit.

The parade provides an opportunity to see the new community developments, innovative architectural home styles, amazing home technology and beautiful views only found in Southern Utah! A bonus home, built by high school students in partnership with local subcontractors and suppliers, will be featured once again.

The most expensive home on this year’s parade is listed for a record-setting $8 million, and the least expensive is valued at $589,900. The largest home measures 12,000 square feet, while the smallest offers 1,790 square feet of living space. An indoor pickleball court, a lazy river, a beach-entry pool and a European-inspired pub concession area are among the astonishing features ticketholders will find as they tour the homes.

“There’s essentially something for everyone,” said Erik Sorenson, a member of the parade committee. “Most people go to the parade to find ideas for their own home, to see what’s new and what’s possible for them. They’re going to find everything this year, including things they’ve never seen before.”
