Teresa Ellen Fain Christensen, 70, of St. George, left this life in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023.
Terri was born Sept. 19, 1953, to Leonard and Delta Fain in Danville, Virginia. The family moved early in her life to Eden, North Carolina, where Teresa graduated from high school in 1968. She continued her education to get her nursing degree, culminating in her becoming a registered nurse.
Terri moved to Utah and married Conrad “Chris” Christensen in September 1983. Two sons were born to this family, Jonathan in 1991 and Joshua in 1994.
Chris passed away in 2009 and Terri, living in Kanab, finished raising her sons while working at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
She retired in 2017 and became close friends with Ric Wayman, having known him as a family friend since 2001. They developed a relationship, becoming partners in 2018 when Terri and Josh moved to St George to be with Ric.
Terri loved her sons and her many animals, both cats and dogs. Her compassion was known by all her friends and those who knew her.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Linda and her husband Chris. She is survived by her sons, Jon and Josh, a daughter-in-law Stevie, a brother, Butch (Brenda) of North Carolina and her partner Ric Wayman of St George.
