Viva Chicken expands No Kid Hungry partnership in honor of World Food Day

ST. GEORGE — In honor of World Food Day, Viva Chicken is expanding its partnership with No Kid Hungry with a special one-day promotion that will give customers an opportunity to give back while satisfying their sweet tooth.

This Friday, Viva Chicken will donate 100% of churro sales across all locations to No Kid Hungry, building upon Viva Chicken’s ongoing support of the organization. Earlier this year, Viva Chicken entered into a relationship with No Kid Hungry, committing to donate 50 cents from each churro sale to the group. Since the partnership formed, Viva has donated over $11,000 to No Kid Hungry.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, one in four kids could face hunger this year. No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. One dollar donated to the organization can provide up to 10 meals (meal equivalency varies during COVID-19 relief; learn more here). A churro at Viva Chicken is $3.45 plus tax.

Customers can order churros in-store at all Viva Chicken locations, or for in-store or curbside pickup in the Viva Chicken app.
