ST. GEORGE — First responders bravely face challenges year-round to keep our communities safe. As a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Daughters of the American Revolution Color Country Chapter recently made a “sweet” delivery to staff members of the St. George Police and Fire Departments.

A variety of breads, cookies, muffins, candy and other treats were donated by chapter members and delivered to each location by executive board members Julie Molen, Mazelle Nohr and Maureen Parks.

Certificates of appreciation accompanied each treat delivery in addition to a letter written by Chapter Regent Valerie King thanking them for their selfless dedication and service to our community and for their outstanding support on Wreaths Across America Day held Dec. 19 at Tonaquint and St. George cemeteries.

The Color Country Chapter recognizes and appreciates the courage, commitment and sacrifices of all those in fire service and law enforcement. Thanking local first responders with treat deliveries is an annual tradition the chapter has supported since February 2017.
