A benefit concert will take place on Aug. 14 starting at 9 p.m., at Sugars the Restaurant, located at 929 W. Sunset in St. George to benefit the family of St. George Police Officer Adam Ashworth, an 11-year veteran of the department and father of three who died two weeks after being admitted to the hospital with COVID-19.

The “End of Watch” event was organized by the local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35 and will feature music, food and fun. The concert will also showcase a local band out of Cedar City – Apollo’s Army – a band the Fraternal Order has dubbed as “local legends.”

Tickets can be purchased online for $10 or $15 at the door on the night of the concert.

Ashworth is survived by his wife, Bobbi Ann Ashworth, whom he was married to for nearly 20 years, as well as his three children. He is remembered fondly by his colleagues as the officer who had a special place in his heart for the youngest in the community.

A GoFundMe account has also been set up to help the family with medical costs and other expenses associated with the loss.
