Red Cliffs Bird Fest 2023 set for April 27-29

The Red Cliffs Bird Fest 2023 will showcase the birding habitat of Greater Zion during spring migration where the beauty of the birds is truly matched by the beauty of the scenery.

Join us April 27-29 as we spend three days exploring the varied birding habitats throughout incredible Southwest Utah.

Within one day, you can experience the birds of micro-wetlands, low deserts, riparian habitats, and the aspen-fir belt. This year’s field trips will offer access to all these ranges including Peregrine Fund biologist-guided tours of the condors of the Vermilion Cliffs.

In addition, on Friday night, April 28, well known naturalist and author James W. Cornett, will be giving his popular presentation “The Roadrunner: Almost Human” based on his book “The Greater Roadrunner.” There are 49 field trips and speakers each evening.

Saturday, April 29 free events include Family Day events at Tonaquint Park and Saturday night Martin Tyner will be bringing several of his live raptors to the Hilton Garden Inn for his talk “Birds of Prey of the West.”

Registration for the event is currently open via our website.
