CEDAR CITY — The Orchestra of Southern Utah announces some additions to their 2020-2021 season to help ensure a safer and more streamlined experience for patrons.

The Orchestra of Southern Utah continues to be generously supported by recreation, arts and parks taxes, the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, Iron County Cares and several private foundations, but their greatest financial support comes from individual patrons. This year, they are budgeted to bring in more from individual donations, ticket sales and their annual soirée than any other single source.

In this year of change, the Orchestra of Southern Utah is moving to a ticketing, donation and downloading system that makes things easier for their supporters. All tickets and donating are now available online.

They now offer a physical season ticket in the form of a single card instead of the previous booklet of tickets. Season cards will be mailed after purchase online or given in person at the Cedar City Art Walks or in-person concerts.

Individual tickets will be available for purchase online or at the door, and will then be scanned with a touchless digital reader (either printed or on a mobile device). Season ticket cards will be scanned for entry with the same system. This way, the Orchestra of Southern Utah can continue to do their part in slowing the spread of COVID-19 as well as providing a more efficient system for those who support the orchestra.

The Orchestra of Southern Utah will also utilize their website for digital downloads of performances and pieces throughout the season. Through their website, they are able to securely accept tax-deductible donations, which continue to be greatly appreciated in any amount at any time.
