Invitation to bid on DOVE Center renovation

DOVE Center, a local nonprofit, invites contractors to bid for the remodeling of Erin’s House. Objective: to expand the number of transitional housing units.  The facility is located at 455 W. Vincent Lane in Washington City, Utah.

Bid to includes:

Reconstruct the main floor to convert office space into two family-sized transitional housing units while preserving two counseling offices, storage room and staff bathroom at the main entrance. The existing child play therapy room will be converted into a kitchen, the existing conference room will be converted into a living room, and existing offices converted into bedrooms. Additional entrances will be added to accommodate two separate access points to each unit. Each unit will have a full bathroom with tub/shower and a set of stacking washer/dryers. HVAC, fire, and security system will be updated to accommodate the two new units and will be included as part of the proposal.

This project is funded in whole or in part by a grant through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.  The contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws, including the payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and compliance with Section 3 to provide employment opportunities for lower income persons and small businesses.  Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid.  The lowest responsible bidder will be selected.

Bidding documents, plans, and specifications may be obtained from the DOVE Center outreach office located in Troon Park at 1240 E. 100 S. Building 22, Suite 221, St. George, Utah, beginning March 12, 2021 at 9:00 am.

Mandatory pre-bid meeting on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 9 AM.

Bid deadline: Friday, April 16, 2021 by 5 PM.

Sealed bids will be received at 1240 E. 100 S. Building 22, Suite 221, St. George, UT 84790.

Bid bond must accompany each bid to be considered.
