ST. GEORGE — Grace Episcopal Church located at 1072 E. 900 South in St George is hosting a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday (February 28) from 5:30-7 p.m.
The menu includes baked ham, pancakes with real maple syrup and butter, fruit cups and beverages.
Legend has it that many people would give up eggs, milk and oil for Lent so pancakes made from these ingredients would be prepared and consumed to use up those food items before Ash Wednesday, the day after Shrove Tuesday and the first day of the Lenten season.
The cost is $5 for those over 17, $3 for those 13–17 and free for those 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door that evening.
