Docutah’s ‘Dreams of the Black Echo’ to be screened Friday at Megaplex Main Street Theater; reservations required

ST. GEORGE — For one night only, there will be a special showing of a Docutah documentary, “Dreams of the Black Echo,” the story of the Vietnam war seen through the experience of American and Vietnamese veterans and the battle of Khe Sanh.

Hosted by Executive Producer and Vietnam veteran Dave Hansen and Director Phil Tuckett, the screening will be held is Jan. 31, at the Megaplex Theater located at 905 S. Main St., St. George.

“This is like no other Vietnam film,” a press release for the event states. “This is the younger generation discovering what the veterans from both sides think now, 50 years after the war.”

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and a short reception with filmmakers will be held at 6:30 p.m . The screening will start at 7:00 p.m., with a question and answer session after the film.

Members of the Color Country Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will also be at the screening to register Vietnam veterans for an upcoming event at the Southern Utah Veterans Home.
