‘Color Me Rad’ 5K returns to St. George

ST. GEORGE — The popular “Color Me Rad” event will be back in St George on Saturday, Oct. 17.  Now in its 6th year, Color Me Rad will be bigger, badder and radder than ever before. With double the color stations, free photos and a new gel color 2015 is going to blow your mind!

“We love our friends from Color Me Rad for all they do for Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah!” Lil Barron, Director of Development and Community Relations, said. “Color Me Rad has supported us for five years, with the proceeds helping us build homes for four deserving families in Washington County.”

Linda Baker, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah said:

What makes this run so amazing, is the support we receive from the runners and the community, including all the volunteers. Where else can you have such a great time while helping to make a difference right here in our own hometown? Each color bomb brings us closer to a time when everyone has a decent, safe place to live.

Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah has now built or renovated 21 homes in Washington County, providing a hand up, not a hand out for 102 family members in need of affordable housing. Since 2010, Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah has also repaired and renovated 45 homes through the affiliate’s “A Brush with Kindness” program.

To help build or renovate a home without swinging a hammer, go to www.colormerad.com and use promo code “Habitat” to receive a 5 percent discount on your Color Me Rad registration. A portion of each registration fee will help build safe, affordable, decent houses for deserving families.
