CEDAR CITY  — The Cedar City Arts Council Networking Social will be held on Monday, June 1 beginning at 7 p.m. in Festival Hall. This event is free and community art lovers are encouraged to attend.

“We consider this our ‘Annual Meeting,’ at which we circulate a ‘State of the Arts Council’ document that indicates our long term strategic plan and we discuss our accomplishments over the past year toward those goals,” Deborah Snider, Cedar City Arts Council President, said.

Along with learning more about the plans and accomplishments of the arts council, the public is invited to enjoy the live musical performance of David Bolsover and friends; a showing and presentation an astronomical collection of photography by grant recipient, Leesa Ricci; display of local businessman Asher Swan’s art photography; and refreshments by JaNell Wood of Simply Delicious Confections.

The Board of Trustees of the Arts Council hosts three socials per year, at which we celebrate the accomplishments of our mini grant awardees, enjoy performances and short presentations, and generally have a chance to spend time with one another.

This is a free event, and anyone with an interest in the literary, performing and visual arts is invited to attend.

Further questions may be directed to Purvis at 435-865-8024.
