ST. GEORGE – This season, residents at The Retreat at SunRiver Assisted Living were able to participate in a service project to raise money for Switchpoint Comunity Resource Center.

They started the project with a bake sale fundraiser held in November. Brownies, popcorn and all kinds of other goodies were donated by our local Home Health and Hospice agencies, some of which stayed during the event to help out. Among the participating agencies were Rocky Mountain Home Care and Hospice, Applegate Home Care and Hospice, Sun Tree Hospice, A Gentle Touch Home Care and Zion’s Way Home Health and Hospice. By the end of the day they raised $150.00 from the baked goods sale.

On Monday, a small group of residents took a bus ride to Switchpoint with the donation and a plate of cookies. They were very excited to see where the donation was going. It was a heartwarming experience to see our seniors with the opportunity to give back to their community, The Retreat at SunRiver’s Megan Williams said, it’s a very important activity for their well being.

The Retreat at SunRiver Assisted Living would like to thank everyone involved in this project.
