Specifically, the NPS is seeking any photos or video people took of the fire for use in the investigation into the incident, according to a press release issued Monday.

Last Friday’s fire was reported around 1:23 p.m. at the Wahweap Marina near Page, Arizon, the news release said. It was initially reported that a single houseboat was on fire. The vessel was moored on B dock near the Latitude 37 restaurant.

The fire quickly spread to other houseboats. One houseboat that was pushed away from the dock in an effort to keep it from catching fire was stopped by breakwater and caught fire as well.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the fire. However, two people were treated for smoke inhalation by Kane County EMS personnel and released, according to the press release.

“Due to fire damage at the Wahweap Marina, please use extreme caution in the area,” NPS officials said in the press release.

Public access to impacted areas of the marina is closed while staff examines which sections weren’t compromised in the fire. The area where the fire occurred will remain closed until cleared by fire investigators.

Personnel from the National Park Service, Big Water Fire Department, Page Fire Department, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Kane County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Arizona Game and Fish Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety ach responded to the fire.
