Enoch Police officer Mike Bleak said he was on duty nearby when the crash happened at approximately 2:45 p.m.

The two vehicles involved were a cream-colored Ford Explorer and a red Hyundai compact passenger car.

Bleak said the Hyundai was heading northbound on SR-130 (Minersville Highway) when the Explorer’s driver pulled out in front of it while attempting to make a left turn from Blue Sky Drive onto southbound SR-130.

The Hyundai impacted the driver’s side door of the Explorer in a T-bone-style collision, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged and partially blocking the roadway.

No injuries were reported.

“We canceled EMS and fire,” Bleak told Cedar City News at the scene.

The Hyundai’s driver and passenger were both teenage girls, while the woman driving the Explorer was the only occupant of her vehicle.

“I didn’t cite her but I did find her at fault,” Bleak said of the Explorer driver.

An Iron County Sheriff’s deputy and a Cedar City Police officer also responded and assisted with traffic control until tow truck operators arrived and removed the vehicles from the scene.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
