B2Z: Elevate your workout, learn more about your body at Symmetry Pilates

SOUTHERN UTAH — B2Z is a new Canyon Media production created to give the community a personal, in-depth look at some of the most unique and amazing businesses in Southern Utah. In this episode, host Carrie Bunker met with Sheridan St. Claire, the owner of Symmetry Pilates, to learn more about her journey to better health through fitness.

Symmetry Pilates is a boutique studio specializing in reformer Pilates along with mat Pilates and yoga. Similar to resistance training, reformer Pilates uses specialized equipment with spring tension to provide a more comprehensive workout. The machine can be calibrated to create more assistance or a greater challenge depending on the client’s level of strength and flexibility.

“The variability of the machine is why people fall in love with it,” St. Claire said. “That’s how people see the results.”

St. Claire started practicing reformer Pilates as a way to rehabilitate shoulder and back injuries. Within a few weeks, she started to notice dramatic changes in her body, and her injuries were completely healed after three months. She was inspired to open her own studio and saw an unmet need for reformer Pilates in St. George.

Symmetry Pilates offers an intimate environment with limited class sizes to keep the focus on proper form and technique. Every client receives personalized attention from a certified instructor. Clients can enroll in a membership or buy a punch pass, and private training sessions also are available.

“We wanted to create that smaller, more intimate environment where you can ask questions and learn more about your body,” St. Claire said.

New clients are invited to try a free intro class and explore how Pilates can benefit them. Click here to get started today.
