ST. GEORGE — In a remote area of Deming County, New Mexico, a Samaritan stumbled upon a big surprise. Dozens of cats and dogs — alone and appearing uncared for. Almost 30 made the long trip to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, where they’re being prepared for new homes.

Passenger allegedly pulls gun during altercation on River Road; 2 arrested in St. George

ST. GEORGE — The sound of street racing in a St. George parking garage led to the arrest of two men that police said were involved in an altercation days before. The incident began as a verbal argument on River Road and escalated into a felony arrest when a gun was allegedly brought into the mix.
