The inaugural Vintage Market Days of Southern Utah is set for Thursday through Saturday, March 16-18, at the Washington County fairgrounds in Hurricane. Vendor booths, complemented by live music and food trucks, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Co-owners Jenni Hadfield and Jayme Thompson have spent the past several months preparing to bring the first-ever Vintage Market Days event to the St. George area. Shoppers will have the chance to browse both vintage and vintage-inspired items along with architectural salvage finds, repurposed and upcycled treasures, home décor, jewelry, clothing and tasty treats.

“We work hard to create an experience with our market,” Hadfield said. “There’s so much to see. Come and plan to spend the weekend with us.”

General admission tickets for Friday and Saturday cost $10 per person. Once purchased, your ticket is good for re-entry into the event all weekend. Admission for children under age 12 is free.

For $15, you can purchase a ticket to the early buying event on Thursday as well as the remainder of the weekend. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the gate, or you can buy tickets online. Pre-purchased ticket holders will gain access to the market 30 minutes before gates open to the public.

Vintage Market Days is an upscale indoor/outdoor market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, delicious food trucks, seasonal plantings and more. The event provides vendors with a unique opportunity to display their talents and passions in creative venues.

“We do have many local vendors, but we also bring in vendors from across the country,” Hadfield said. “You’ll only find a lot of these items at Vintage Market Days.”

Featured as one of Country Living’s “7 Flea Markets and Barn Sales Not to Miss,” Vintage Market Days is a juried event accepting vendors based on variety, originality and quality. Vendors are thoughtfully selected to provide customers with the highest quality of goods sold while creating a unique, vintage-inspired shopping experience.

Over 60 Vintage Market Days events are held annually throughout the United States. Hadfield and Thompson have brought the vintage experience to northern Utah for the past seven years.

“Something we always wanted to do was come to Southern Utah,” Hadfield said. “From our very first show, we’ve had lots of people asking us to bring the market here. It’s a great fit.”

Hadfield and Thompson both live in Cache Valley. As busy moms, they love getting their kids involved in Vintage Market Days and bring their families to St. George several times a year. Hadfield said they’ve come to think of the area as a second home, one that always welcomes them with beautiful red rock views, warm weather and friendly people.

They plan to bring Vintage Market Days to Southern Utah twice a year, in March and October.

“Our vendors work for months to create the best finds and displays, so the market is never the same,” Hadfield said. “It’s something the community can look forward to every spring and fall.”
