“I’m excited to work with all the good people, the customers and staff we have here in Southern Utah,” Jones said.

John Jones (no relation) served as Southern Utah area president for Cache Valley Bank from 2016 to 2022. At the beginning of this year, he relocated to Logan to fulfill his duties as the bank’s newly appointed CEO, and Will Jones took over his role.

Jones, who previously worked as regional director of commercial banking for Zions Bank, brings over 20 years of experience in finance to Cache Valley Bank. He obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Brigham Young University in 2002 and has spent most of his career finding banking solutions for business owners in his hometown of St. George.

In fact, Jones grew up just a couple of blocks away from Cache Valley Bank’s Tabernacle branch in the historic downtown district. He attended both Dixie High School and the former Dixie State College before heading north to pursue educational and career opportunities. He moved back to St. George for good in 2007.

“It’s a privilege to work and raise a family in a place where I grew up with that sense of belonging and that sense of home,” he said. “I’m proud to serve my community and help it grow for the next generation.”
