Valley Women’s Health has been serving Southern Utah patients for over 30 years, and the clinic currently encompasses seven doctors and two nurse practitioners. As part of a statewide network with offices in 11 other cities, the St. George location provides resources and care for women’s medical needs from adolescence through menopause and beyond.

“Being part of a larger network provides us with more support as we try to practice the best medicine we can for our patients,” practice administrator Quin Monson said. “We bring comprehensive OB/GYN services to the community and we handle everything, including surgery.”

Valley Women’s Health offers a complete spectrum of gynecology services to care for patients through every stage of life. This includes annual exams and pap smears, premarital exams, birth control and IUDs, permanent contraception, STD screenings, family planning education, cancer screenings, mammograms and hormone replacement therapy.

Obstetric services include 3D and 4D ultrasounds, high-risk prenatal care, prenatal education, labor and delivery, postpartum care and breastfeeding support. Valley Women’s Health also assists with the diagnosis and management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis, pre-menstrual syndrome, irregular menstruation, lack of menstruation and other health conditions affecting women of all ages.

Additionally, Valley Women’s Health partners with Intermountain St. George Regional Hospital to perform surgical procedures including hysteroscopies, hysterectomies, tubal ligations, urogynecological repair and vaginal wall repair.

“We have an amazing group of doctors, but on top of that, we have an amazing staff who are really here for the care of women,” Monson said. “They’re in this field because they want to help. They love what they’re doing.”

The clinic opened under the name Southern Utah Women’s Health Center and joined forces with Valley Women’s Health 10 years ago. Recognizing that options for women’s health services in St. George are limited even as the area’s population continues to grow, the front desk only books appointments three months out rather than six months or even a year. Monson said this helps providers keep appointments as scheduled while allowing new patients to be seen as well.

“We’re trying to grow to meet the needs of St. George,” he added. “We’re also adding a new provider in June.”

Patient education is a cornerstone of the Valley Women’s Health approach to medicine. Along these lines, Dr. Jeffrey G. Rogers with the St. George office will present two free webinars on bladder leakage and pelvic organ prolapse Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. and Thursday, March 2, at noon via Zoom.

Are you frustrated by embarrassing urinary leakage? Or do you feel pressure and discomfort in your pelvic area? If so, you’re not alone; these health concerns affect millions of women worldwide.

Women across Southern Utah are invited to learn more about the signs, symptoms and treatment options available for these common pelvic floor conditions and have their questions answered in the privacy and comfort of home. Click here to register for the first webinar or here to sign up for the second session.
