ST. GEORGE — Police are piecing together what happened after gunshots were heard echoing through Bloomington Hills on Monday.
According to a Facebook post by the St. George Police Department, at approximately 10 p.m., the Washington County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a citizen who reported gunshots in the area of Red Tree Circle in Bloomington Hills. Officers responded to find evidence that supported the caller’s statements.
An officer assigned to St. George Regional Hospital then reported to dispatch that a person arrived at the emergency department with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim is expected to survive.
It is believed there is no threat to the public, and St. George Police detectives are actively working on the case. No other details have been released.
