ST. GEORGE — The Trailblazers are back in town.

After completing a season-long 7-game road trip with a 3-4 record, the Utah Tech men’s basketball team returns to the friendly confines of Burns Arena to face Chapman University Friday night at 7 p.m.

According to a press release the Trailblazers are 4-5 overall, coming off a convincing 77-65 victory at Weber State Dec. 3.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Trailblazers and the Panthers (3-4) of Orange, California.

In fact, Friday night’s contest is the first of three consecutive home games Utah Tech will play against teams from the Golden State.

The Trailblazers play their first Western Athletic Conference game against University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at Burns Arena Dec. 29.

Voice of the Trailblazers Rod Zundel will have the live broadcast of the game against Chapman Friday night at 7 p.m. at The Fan Sports Network.

Utah Tech is led once again by senior Cameron Gooden, averaging 16.3 points per game in his first nine starts.

Sophomore center Tanner Christensen flirted with a triple-double at Weber State. He finished with a game-high 20 points along with eight rebounds and a career-high five assists. Christensen threw down three dunks on the Wildcats and now has nine dunks on the season.
