Bring your little ghosts, goblins, zombies, princesses, pirates, superheroes and more to Findlay Automotive on Sunland Drive – the savings side of the freeway – this Friday for a spooky good time. Sponsors will be handing out candy from their trunks between 3-6 p.m.

“If you love Halloween, you should definitely come join us,” said LaRae Nelson, co-host of “Lukas and LaRae in the Morning” on Planet 105.1. “This is a great way to get the kids going for a fun Halloween weekend.”

Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe way for kids to enjoy trick-or-treating, which Nelson said is the best part of Halloween. Even if they’re still going around their neighborhood on Halloween, they’ll get another chance to show off their costumes and pick up more candy. The event was hugely popular in past years, and she looks forward to making it an annual tradition again.

Trunk or Treat is free and open to all local kids and parents. Please bring your own bags for collecting candy.

This year’s sponsors include Findlay Automotive, Root for Kids and Canyon Media radio stations Planet 105.1, Sunny 101.5 and Juan 106FM, among many others. Nelson said kids will be able to trunk or treat at over 20 different cars.

Ben Lindquist, general manager of Canyon Media, said that hosting fun, community-based events is one of the best parts of being in the media business. He’s excited to bring back Trunk or Treat to provide a safe environment for kids and parents to get outside and enjoy the fall weather.

“As a parent myself, I think it’s amazing to live in a place that has activities like this for kids,” he added. “It certainly doesn’t happen without great sponsors like the Findlay Auto Group.”

Findlay Automotive is committed to making Southern Utah a better place to live for everyone. Continuing a long history of giving back to worthy causes in the community, the dealership has donated over $200,000 total to the Southwest Wildlife Foundation and Washington County Sheriff Search & Rescue since opening in 2009.

This summer, they partnered with the Washington County School District Foundation to “Fill the Bus” with donations of school supplies and essential items for at-risk students.
