“City Manager Adam Lenhard informed the St. George Mayor and City Council today that he is leaving the organization to pursue other opportunities,” a joint statement from Mayor Michele Randall and the City Council read.

Lenhard joined the city government in early 2018 following the retirement of Gary Esplin who served as the city manager for 41 years.

Prior to joining the city staff, Lenhard worked for the city of Clearfield for nearly six years as its city manager and for over three years as its community development director before that.

He also has held several positions in public and private sectors working in planning, engineering and real estate development roles, including two years as planning director for the city of Eagle Mountain.

“The City wishes Mr. Lenhard all the best in his future endeavors and would like to publicly thank him for the service he has provided to the City over the past four and a half years,” the mayor and City Council said in the joint statement.

The joint statement goes on to credit Lenhard with helping “position the city for a bright future” and thanked him for his advocacy on behalf of the city’s employees. His final day with the city is Nov. 1.

The process of looking for a new city manager will begin soon after.
