As part of the new Inspire In Utah initiative, 100 Companies Championing Women focuses on recognizing and highlighting the stories of 100 Utah companies that offer family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruiting, hiring, retaining and advancing of women employees, managers and leaders, the news release states.

This effort is part of One Utah Roadmap, section five, which focuses on equity and opportunity put forth by Gov. Spencer Cox and Lt. Gov. Diedre Henderson’s administration.

“Inspire In Utah is a unique opportunity to promote Utah’s women in business,” Dan Hemmert, executive director of the Economic Opportunity office, said in the press release. “We’re excited to present an opportunity for Utah businesses and businesspeople to be highlighted. Many companies are already working diligently to support women in the workplace. As part of Inspire In Utah, we hope to identify more than 100 companies and help tell their stories and the stories of women in business.”

Inspire In Utah is an initiative that supports women entrepreneurs and women in the workplace at every level. And they invite all Utah companies to provide their information to be considered for inclusion in the 100 Companies Championing Women initiative. As part of the In Utah campaign, the companies selected will receive storytelling and publicity on owned and earned media on the state’s In Utah and Go Utah platforms.

“We’re excited to partner with Go Utah on this initiative. We have some great companies in our state that are implementing innovative family-friendly policies and practices, and these need to be shared and discussed,” said Susan Madsen, director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project at Utah State University. “This initiative will help spotlight best practices. We’re thrilled to witness the launch of Inspire In Utah.”

Nubia Peña, Gov. Cox’s equity and opportunity senior advisor, said in the press release that this campaign highlights a collaborative effort.

“This campaign recognizes the incredible allies who are opening doors, growing the table, investing in and elevating women in leadership positions, and valuing their contributions to Utah’s economy,” she said. “Aligned with the Cox/Henderson administration’s Roadmap efforts, this initiative seeks to acknowledge inclusive organizations that expand opportunities to create greater equality in our state.”
