CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Not all real estate companies are created equal, and neither are their agents and brokers. Red Rock Real Estate continues to elevate their client-focused services with the addition of a new managing broker.

“Many agents struggle with not receiving enough support and feeling like they’re on their own in their real estate businesses,” principal broker Allen Holland said. “We want to make sure that all of our agents have unlimited support and access to some of the best brokers who can help them succeed.”

Tammy Houchen stepped into her new role as managing broker on Sept. 1 and brings an extensive knowledge of contracts, clear thinking and precise decision-making capabilities to Red Rock Real Estate.

“She has the respect of agents and brokers throughout Southern Utah and a knowledge and love for the real estate industry,” Holland said. “We know she can help take Red Rock to the next level of growth.”

Houchen has 18 years of experience in Southern Utah’s real estate market, including five years as the principal broker of another local brokerage. She became part of Red Rock Real Estate in 2020 and currently serves on the board of directors for the Washington County Board of Realtors.

“One of the reasons I joined Red Rock was the company culture,” she said. “Our agents are known for their knowledge and professionalism, and I aim to keep that reputation going.”

Red Rock Real Estate is a group of real estate professionals representing buyers, sellers, property owners, tenants and people from all walks of life looking to make an investment in Southern Utah. When the brokerage was established in 2012, the founding partners set out to revolutionize the industry with their leadership mentality. Today, their team encompasses 40 brokers and 375 agents.

Jack Scott, the managing broker since 2015, has been an integral part of the success and growth Red Rock Real Estate has experienced. Holland said Scott has given his heart and soul, along with over 20 years of market knowledge, to helping the company’s agents and brokers succeed and be the best they can be.

“Jack helped us build our Red Rock brand,” he added.

Now, he’s stepping into a slightly different role. Scott will serve as principal broker while advising the leadership team, overseeing the brokerage’s trust accounts and mentoring agents. This is a part he has played in the careers of many local agents over the years, including Houchen.

As managing broker, Houchen will be working side-by-side with Scott and Holland to guide Red Rock Real Estate as the company continues to evolve. “She aims to provide agents with the tools they need to be successful and continue to thrive in any kind of market they may face.

Red Rock Real Estate is among the top 100 largest independent brokerages in the nation, according to RealTrends. They closed more than 2,800 transactions totaling over $1.5 billion in volume and paid $25 million in gross commission income to their agents in 2021.

Alongside Red Rock Property Management, which maintains a portfolio of more than 650 homes, and Red Rock Vacation Rentals, which manages over 230 nightly rentals, the brokerage is growing, thriving and owns the greatest market share in the St. George area.

Having built an incredible brand in Southern Utah, the leadership team is ready to expand Red Rock Real Estate nationwide. The brokerage recently joined forces with Real Broker, a growing network of over 5,000 agents across the United States and Canada that are building the future of real estate. Real Broker creates avenues for brokers and agents to build wealth and grow their business through revenue sharing, equity incentives and higher commission splits.

“I love being part of Red Rock because we’re not only the biggest in Southern Utah, but the best,” Houchen said. “There’s no limits to what Red Rock can do now.”
