Starting at noon and concluding at 2 p.m., a media panel will interview each head football coach and players from every Region 10 team every 15 minutes.

The program then will stream Wednesday on Fox Sports Southern Utah’s show From the Bleachers, co-hosted by Kaden Foremaster and Mark Musgrave, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 99.5 FM in St. George and 93.1 FM in Cedar City.

“We couldn’t be more excited to host it and have a great panel from Fox Sports and St. George News combined,” Foremaster told St. George News.

“And then of course on the other side, having coaches and players from all the schools around Region 10 being part of it is just going to be a lot of fun,” he added.

Four players from each team will participate in media day.

“Having these kids that have worked so hard to be where they’re at, these student-athletes, and having the coaches as well be a part of this,” Foremaster said, “we’re excited to talk with them and see what their plans are for the upcoming season.”

Joining the media panel will be Region 10 football expert Devin Dixon.

“A long time ago I was sitting around one summer watching the SEC media days and the PAC-12 media days, and I’m like, ‘Why don’t we do that for our local high school kids?’” Dixon told St. George News.

“Give them a chance to represent their school and their teammates, and get them excited and the fans excited about the upcoming season,” he added. “We’re pumped. I think it’s going to be a really exciting year in Region 10.”

The 4A classification in Utah is made up of Region 10 and Region 11 in the Cache Valley. Region 11 schools (Ridgeline, Sky View back-to-back) have won the last three state football titles.

“You go back to last year, I was really impressed with the talent of Ridgeline, and they were so well coached,” Dixon said. “But I think the shift in power is coming this year. I think Snow Canyon, Dixie, Desert Hills and Crimson (Cliffs) all have a very good case for why they might win state this year.”

Fans will be able to see where Region 10 stacks up early in the season as Crimson Cliffs will host Region 11 preseason favorite Green Canyon in its first game Aug. 12, and Snow Canyon will host defending champion Ridgeline in its third game Aug. 26.

“I think this year is going to be really exciting for football fans in Southern Utah,” Dixon said.
