While it’s easy to get distracted by the flashy exterior, don’t let it fool you. At the heart of Vivida Dermatology is wholesome, homegrown goodness.

Vivida Dermatology is led by Leeds native and former Dixie State College graduate Dr. Steven Peine. Peine is the only fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery within more than 100 miles of St. George. Mohs micrographic surgery is considered the “gold standard” in skin cancer treatment, boasting over a 99% cure rate.

After completing medical school at the University of Utah, Peine served in the United States Air Force for 20 years as an active duty physician. His extensive medical training and hands-on experience in the military sets Peine apart from his peers as the expert on skin cancer treatment.

In just four short years, he has successfully treated more than 5,000 local skin cancer patients. As a result of his two-year mission in Chile, Peine remains fluent in Spanish and is happy to serve Southern Utah’s Spanish-speaking community.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Brooke Larsen brings 18 years of dermatology experience to the team. A fellow University of Utah alumnus, Larsen is passionate about her patients, and it shows. Her warm, welcoming demeanor puts even the most anxious patients at ease, giving them another reason to smile.

2022 brought several changes to the Vivida family, including relocating to their new home (exactly one floor below their previous location) in the Coral Desert Health Center across from Intermountain St. George Regional Hospital. This new suite has been fully renovated to reflect the familiar first-class Vivida aesthetic while accommodating the growing practice.

Included in this growth is Physician Assistant-Certified Michael Warren, who is happy to have returned with his family to their home state of Utah. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Warren’s background includes athletic training and rehabilitative science before he discovered his love for dermatology five years ago.

Vivida Dermatology boasts more than just a pretty office and talented, experienced local providers. It’s also home to a state-of-the-art on-site laboratory. Inside the lab, they process your results, reducing your wait times for answers to some of your most worrisome questions. While this is convenient for many, it’s crucial to the Mohs surgical procedure, which offers same-day cancer treatment for less invasive squamous or basal cell carcinomas to even potentially life-threatening melanomas.

We invite you to stop by their beautiful new facility and experience exceptional care and the highest quality treatment firsthand, giving you more confidence to face the future.
