Kenneth James Kindle, or Kenny, as he was known by friends and family, was called home Sunday, July 31, 2022, in St. George, Utah. He was born in St. George on Dec. 13, 1945, to Albert and Inez Kindle.
Kenny graduated from Dixie High School in 1964 and then attended Dixie College on a full-ride baseball scholarship. Kenny loved to play baseball, playing well into his 60s. His love and passion for the game have been passed down from generation to generation, creating a brood of ball players.
Not only could he play, he could teach. Coaching his daughter Savannah’s fast pitch accelerated softball team, he helped the team earn two state titles and multiple trips to Nationals. Kenny also enjoyed time outdoors, especially going hunting and fishing with his son Tyler. Affable, warm and pleasant, Kenny was a friend to all, which served him well as a mail carrier in American Fork and St. George for the U.S. Postal Service for 41 years. He was also a volunteer paramedic for 18 years in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He had a talent for conversation and a knack for making people feel special.
Kenny was also a nurturer. Whenever he welcomed someone into his home, he made sure they had absolutely everything they needed. This even went as far as making a complete pancake breakfast for his houseguests in the morning and serving a full-course dinner in the evening. He loved taking care of people, especially his family.
Kenny married his sweetheart, Sharon Cox Morishita, on March 12, 2011, in St. George, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple. Kenny and Sharon loved camping together, going for rides in the truck or side-by-side.
We’ll remember him when we crack open a Pepsi, enjoy a particularly good steak, turn on a ball game, make a new friend and help someone in need. We’ll miss him dearly, but we’ll smile knowing that we get to keep all of the good he left with us.
Kenny is survived by his wife Sharon; six children Whitney Kindle, Savannah (Tyson) Rich, Tyler (NicKol) Kindle, Kenna Lee Mitchell, Autumn (Chris) Griffiths, Derek Kindle; sisters Penny Christian and Nancy DeBois; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and mother-in-law Mary Dawn Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Inez Kindle, two grandchildren, Carlee Sobczak and Dakota Hendricks and father-in-law Norman H Cox,

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m., with a viewing prior to the services 9-10:30 a.m., at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.
