Janessa Elle Egbert

March 30, 2002-July 21, 2022

Janessa Elle Egbert passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends in the loving arms of her mother and brother on Thursday, July 21, 2022

She came into this world as a fighter, and throughout her life she showed her strength and fought through every challenge she faced. No matter what she was going through she made everyone’s day better, effortlessly. She was the strongest, most selfless, most loving, odd-defying kind of girl who, despite all her trials, had the sweetest disposition.

She is our beautiful angel with such a special spirit and light about her that she shared at home and with all those whose paths crossed hers.

She brought everyone together, taught us how to love better and loved us even when we were less than deserving. She lifted our hearts and our burdens every day. She brought peace, an incredible sense of humor, an infectious smile and unconditional love to all.

Her strength, humor, love for others and love for life came from her incredible mom … her best friend and partner in crime.

She loved everyone being around her, making everyone happy and was happy to be a part of anything going on around her. She loved Taylor Swift; Mamma Mia 2; singing with Grandma; Grandpa sneaking up on her; dancing with Aunt Lynda; Momma rubbing her hair; brother Cade always spending time and trying to make her happy, smiling and laughing; kisses from Lisa; listening to conversations; playing ball; destruction and always laughing.

Those who knew her best, knew her love for loud noises, followed by mayhem and cursing to be her favorite form of entertainment.

It has been a blessing to have Janessa as a part of our family for 20 incredible years. Though her physical body had its challenges, her spirit is now free. Janessa is running, dancing, talking, singing and doing all the things that her body would not allow her to do.

We are extremely grateful for the amazing doctors, nurses, CNAs, therapists  and all other staff and caregivers who have taken care of Janessa throughout her life and have become family. A special thank you to Dr. Kerri Smith and Dr. Natalie Darro for their love and great care.

She is survived by her mother Emily, her brother Cade (Emily) and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her more than they will ever be able to express.

She is preceded in death by her father Jerad and many other special angels in her life.
