Leo Burgess Skinner

March 18, 1926-July 16, 2022

Leo Burgess Skinner, 96, of St. George, Utah, passed away July 16, 2022, peacefully and humbly, as he lived his life. Leo was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he held many callings including Bishop of the Hesperia, California, Ward.

After serving in World War II, Leo was called to a mission in the Four Corner States, after which he met and married Ruth Jueschke of Glendora, California, in the Logan Temple. Leo and Ruth enjoyed 70 years of marriage until Ruth passed away Sept. 1, 2019.

One of Leo’s greatest joys was working in the  Los Angeles and St. George Temples with Ruth.

Leo is survived by his five children: Larry D. (Vicki), Barbara L., Paul W. (Debbie), Donna M. Borck (Bill) and John L., 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 20, 6-8 p.m. at McMillan Mortuary, 499 E. Tabernacle, St. George.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 21, at 10 a.m. at Ivins Utah City Cemetery.
