‘We’ve seen it all’: Stout Roofing is Southern Utah’s locally owned, full-service roofing contractor

CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — If you’re a property owner, roof repairs will be a necessity from time to time. Perhaps your roof needs maintenance after years of wear and tear or suffered unexpected damage from a storm passing through. Whatever the case may be, Stout Roofing is your go-to for all types of repairs as well as re-roofing and new construction.

Serving homeowners and businesses across Southern Utah, Southern Nevada, Northern Arizona and the Phoenix Valley, Stout Roofing is a full-service team of roofing professionals. The company offers most roofing systems and specializes in concrete tile applications, metal roofing, asphalt shingles, single-ply membrane systems and all types of re-roofing.

Stout Roofing is a locally owned and family-operated business. CFO and vice president Brendan Casey said the company strives to be fast, honest and fair in providing services to every customer.

“Being operated by second- and third-generation roofers gives us an advantage over the competition,” he added. “We’ve seen it all.”

Stout Roofing has extensive experience in finding leaks and repairing all types of roof systems. As your home and roof continue to age, however, it may be time for a replacement. Casey said Stout Roofing will inspect the roof at no cost and provide an honest recommendation of whether to repair or re-roof.

Stout Roofing merged with the Cedar City-based Roof Tec in 2005 to create a company that could meet the needs of a much more diverse customer base. Stout Roofing specialized in concrete tile applications, torch-applied bitumen and all types of re-roofing, while Roof Tec focused on metal roofing, asphalt shingles and single-ply membrane systems on flat roofs.

As a result of the merger, the company is led by a management team with extensive diversity and depth of roofing expertise. Roofers in each division of the company, from repairs to re-roofing and commercial to residential, focus on their areas of expertise rather than trying to be a jack of all trades.

Today, Stout Roofing is a full-service company offering a wide range of residential and commercial roofing applications, including custom work. A customer with a project that includes concrete tile, copper bay windows, a steel parapet cap and single-ply membrane, for example, will work directly with them from start to finish.

“We want to offer all types of roofing options to contractors and homeowners so they don’t have to outsource outside of Southern Utah,” Casey said.

Stout Roofing has the equipment needed to handle any job. The company owns all of its forklifts, trucks, dump trucks, trailers and lift trucks. They also operate a full-service metal shop complete with a hydraulic shear and computerized brake capable of creating whatever custom sheet metal details a project might require.

Among numerous industry affiliations, Stout Roofing has been recognized by the community with a bevy of gold and silver awards in the Best of Southern Utah and Best of Iron County contests since 2019. Casey said their commitment to customer service is what sets them apart from the rest.

Stout Roofing is the community’s source for high-quality roofing of any type. They believe in working hard to get customers exactly what they want, at a price that can’t be beat.
