Red Rock Real Estate joins innovative, tech-powered Real Broker; why they made the move

CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Southern Utah’s largest brokerage, Red Rock Real Estate, has joined forces with Real Broker, a growing network of agents building the future of real estate. Here’s why they did it.

Red Rock is among the top 100 largest independent brokerages in the nation, according to RealTrends. Alongside Red Rock Property Management, which maintains a portfolio of more than 650 homes, and Red Rock Vacation Rentals, which manages over 215 nightly rentals, the company is growing, thriving and owns the largest market share in Southern Utah.

Red Rock closed more than 2,800 transactions totaling over $1.5 billion in volume and paid $25 million in gross commission income to their agents last year. In light of their booming success, founder Matt Curtis and his partners, Allen Holland and Adam Legg, started brainstorming ways to give part of the business back to the agents who helped build it.

Several ideas were discussed, including selling small percentages to the top agents, selling to a national brokerage firm and more. However, none of these options proved thorough enough to support the Red Rock team, and that’s when the workshopping for a trailblazing plan began.

In the fall of 2021, Curtis discovered Real Broker, a tech-powered company revolutionizing the real estate brokerage template. Everything about their business model promised to elevate what was currently being offered to Red Rock agents, and the partners unanimously agreed that joining Real Broker would substantially benefit Red Rock as a whole.

“Our core values aligned with them,” Curtis said. “This gives our agents so many more opportunities.”

Real Broker creates avenues for brokers and agents to build wealth and grow their business through revenue sharing, equity incentives and better commission splits.

When Red Rock became part of Real Broker, their agents were immediately offered these benefits as well as new stock ownership opportunities with company matching. To date, Red Rock is the largest independent brokerage to have joined Real Broker.

Curtis said partnering with Real Broker was the right move for Red Rock’s agents, and the company will continue to prioritize their success.

“It gives our agents a real opportunity to become owners of the brokerage and create multiple revenue streams,” he added. “We feel that with the tools Real offers, our agents will be able to better serve their clients and our market.”

Red Rock agents now have access to daily live training and education with proven top brokers, agents and industry influencers. Real Broker provides cutting-edge tech tools to help agents manage their deals, be more efficient and stay connected to a supportive community of more than 5,000 real estate professionals across the United States and Canada.

When Red Rock was established in 2012, Curtis, Holland and Legg set out to revolutionize the industry with their leadership mentality. Today, their team of 40 brokers and over 375 agents provides the most comprehensive real estate experience in the area.

Having built an incredible brand in Southern Utah, Red Rock’s leadership team is ready to expand the company nationwide. Being part of Real Broker opens up those pathways, Legg said. They’ve already started collaborating with teams in other states, with more areas to come.

“We can reach new heights for a brokerage in our area with Real,” he added. “We want to continue to serve Southern Utah while taking our brand and our expertise to other parts of the country.”

Red Rock is a group of real estate professionals representing buyers, sellers, property owners and people from all walks of life looking to make an investment in Southern Utah. From vacant lots to luxury homes, they do it all.
