Owner Todd Vowell said the spring customer appreciation event is a way for Modern Warriors to both thank the people of St. George for their continued support and celebrate their first year at their new location. Customers can save 10% off any purchase and enter firearms and suppressor giveaways throughout the day.

A variety of tactical equipment vendors will also be on hand to demonstrate their products, including Battle Arms Development, Maxim Defense, Rifle Dynamics, Cobalt Kinetics, HUXWRX Suppressors, Dead Air Suppressors, Staccato, Atlas Gunworks and B&T USA.

The first 2,000 customers will enjoy free food from The Corndog Company and St. George Taco Truck. Local rock station 96X is scheduled to broadcast live between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Kael, the newest brand ambassador for Modern Warriors, will be meeting fans and signing autographs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Originally from Kentucky, Kael moved to Las Vegas to pursue his dream of playing music full-time. That dream was realized in 2011 when he joined Five Finger Death Punch as their new bassist.

“Modern Warriors feels Chris is a perfect fit to represent our brand since we share the same appreciation and respect towards military, law enforcement, first responders and especially our veterans,” Vowell said.

The charity raffle, benefiting the Southern Utah chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, features items signed by Kael. Up for grabs are a bass guitar valued at $2,000, an X-Products flamethrower worth $1,500, a Spiritus Systems plate carrier/chest rig worth $1,000, and six Reaper Rebel custom biker vests valued at $300 each. Raffle tickets cost $10.

Chapter 49-4 of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association is a local organization that shares a passion for riding and helping fellow veterans. All of their fundraising efforts within the community go to supporting Southern Utah veterans and their families.

“We are full supporters of the military and first responders, especially veterans,” Vowell said. “The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association is an organization of vets helping vets, and our vision aligns with them in that we would like to help combat veterans achieve the things they need to better their lives.”

Modern Warriors specializes in tactical weapons and accessories, including a selection of more than 4,000 firearms. Since 2014, the store has grown into the region’s premier tactical sporting goods dealer. Customers drive from as far away as Salt Lake City and Las Vegas to browse their showroom, and they also ship firearms and accessories nationwide through their bustling online store.

“Everybody here owns the guns that are on our shelves,” general manager Jahde Clark said of their team, which includes former military and law enforcement personnel. “We shoot them all the time. We have an extensive knowledge of them.”

Last year, Modern Warriors expanded operations by moving to an 8,000-square-foot facility just east of Interstate 15 in Bloomington Hills. The building features a state-of-the-art showroom, a customization and repair shop and a shipping and receiving warehouse to facilitate online orders. The facility also features a classroom offering training courses including concealed carry, gun awareness and emergency preparedness.

As a tactical specialty store, Modern Warriors carries many firearms that are tough to find elsewhere, along with an ample supply of ammunition. Clark said the store caters to enthusiasts looking for the latest and greatest in tactical weaponry as well as people who are just starting to explore gun ownership. Whether they’re looking for a firearm for home defense or sport shooting, they’ll find everything they need with the help of Modern Warriors.
