ST. GEORGE — A two-vehicle crash involving one driver making a left turn and failing to yield to the other left an elderly woman injured late Sunday.
The crash, which involved a black Dodge Ram pickup and a white pickup, occurred on the stretch of Bluff Street in front of the Sunset Corner Megaplex shopping center shortly before 7 p.m. and was cleared by 7:30.
“A female driver was cited for failing to yield left turn,” St. George Police officer Tiffany Mitchell said St. “It looks like there was an elderly female taken to the hospital with injuries to her legs.”
At the scene at 1091 N. Bluff St., between 1250 North and Sunset Boulevard, the woman was taken by stretcher to the ambulance but was conscious. Paramedics also checked on a teenage boy at the scene, but he appeared to be clear of any injury.
The white pickup had its front side crushed in, and its front and side airbags all deployed. The Dodge Ram sustained rear damage.
Along with St. George Police, the Washington County Sheriff, St. George Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to the scene.
