At approximately 7:14 p.m, police responded to reports of a collision on Auto Mall Drive. The crash involved a Hyundai Genesis, a Volvo XC 60 and a Honda Accord, St. George Police Officer Tiffany Mitchell said.

The driver of the Hyundai was traveling northbound when he reportedly dropped his cellphone. Mitchell said he reached for the device, taking his eyes off the road; at which point, the man’s elbow hit the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to veer off the road.

The Hyundai collided with the Honda, pushing it into the Volvo. Both the Honda and Volvo were parked facing South.

All individuals involved in the crash declined medical transport. A woman and an infant were in the Volvo at the time of the collision but did not sustain injuries, Mitchell said, adding that the Hyundai driver may have sustained minor injuries.

Mitchell said the Hyundai driver was cited at the scene for a traffic violation and driving with a suspended license.

The scene was cleared at approximately 8 p.m.

The St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to the scene.
