99.9 KONY Country’s Fourth of July celebration returns bigger and better than ever with headliner Dustin Lynch

ST. GEORGE — Tickets are now on sale for the biggest summer bash in Southern Utah. The 99.9 KONY Country 4th of July Celebration returns as thousands of people will gather at Greater Zion Stadium to celebrate America’s independence with a night of thrilling live entertainment.

This year’s celebration features a patriotic program from United We Pledge and a headline concert by country star Dustin Lynch. As darkness falls, the stadium will come alight with Southern Utah’s largest fireworks display, presented by the city of St. George. The event is expected to sell out, so get your tickets today.

“We look forward to the Fourth of July celebration every year, and this year is no different,” Canyon Media general manager Ben Lindquist said. “Not only will Southern Utah be able to enjoy a patriotic tribute to America, they will also see a bonafide country music star in Dustin Lynch.”

Lynch is a dynamic singer, songwriter and performer with more than 3.3 billion global on-demand streams and eight No. 1 songs to his credit, including his breakthrough hit “Where It’s At,” “Small Town Boy,” “Ridin’ Roads” and “Thinking ‘Bout You,” a duet with MacKenzie Porter.

Since the release of his platinum-selling debut single “Cowboys and Angels” in 2012, Lynch has headlined packed venues across the nation and toured with some of country’s biggest names, including Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Brad Paisley. The Tennessee native has also earned industry recognition as a member of the Grand Ole Opry along with high-profile nominations for the Billboard Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards and CMT Music Awards.

“He’s fantastic,” said Amy Chesley, co-host of the 99.9 KONY Country morning show. “I’ve seen him in concert a couple times, so I’m super stoked because I know that Southern Utah is in for a treat.”

Based on the caliber of production and talent plus Lynch’s presence in country music, Lindquist said he anticipates the Fourth of July event will be the largest and most attended concert in Southern Utah history.

“I really believe this night will prove that Southern Utah is ready for another level of concerts and entertainment, and we want to make sure we give it to them every year.”

Marty Lane, Chesley’s co-host on 99.9 KONY Country, concurred, adding that Lynch is one of the biggest artists ever to visit Southern Utah in terms of popularity and record sales.

“We’re going to have a bigger stage, a bigger light show,” he said. “Everything is basically times two of what we did last year.”

The celebration is presented by 99.9 KONY Country, the city of St. George, Intermountain St. George Regional Hospital, Litehouse Foods, Balance of Nature, Cache Valley Bank, Ken Garff St. George Ford, Intergalactic, Morgan Pest Control and the Lifetime Store.

Bring the whole family to Town Square Park, located in the heart of historic downtown St. George at 50 S. Main Street. From live music and food booths to slip-n-slides and a talent show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“Southern Utah is an amazing and special community,” Lindquist said. “The last few years have produced so much division globally, nationally and even locally. We hope that this event, even for just one night, can bring people together to entertain, unite and remind us all that we live in the greatest nation on Earth – America.”
