Big Red’s story: A St. George feral cat’s unexpected transformation

FEATURE — “Big Red” is an unusual cat with a remarkable story. Not only is he the largest feral cat to come to the Humane Society of Utah’s clinic in St. George, but he’s also the oldest at 4 years old. Typically, feral cats are much slimmer and considered lucky if they live to 5 due to the spread of fatal diseases. The feral cats treated at our St. George clinic are typically aged 1-3.

ST. GEORGE — Two suspects from Colorado are being held without bail following a traffic stop on Interstate 15 that netted more than 5,066 grams of pure fentanyl tablets — an amount of illicit drugs that the Drug Enforcement Administration says is enough to kill millions of people.

ST. GEORGE — A suspicious person call on River Road late Monday night led to the arrest of a St. George man wanted for failing to register as a sex offender and absconding on a case involving the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl.

Hiker flown to St. George Hospital after falling from trail near Virgin River Gorge

ST. GEORGE — A hiker fell about 60 feet Saturday afternoon while walking on the Portal Trail near the 14.5 mile marker of Interstate 15 in the Virgin River Gorge in Arizona.
