MADISON, Wis. — TDS subscribers in Southern Utah are set to have their full line-up of television stations restored.

TDS Telecom and Nexstar Media Group reached a comprehensive agreement Friday to restore transmission of Nexstar’s local TV stations to more than 50,000 TDS customers in eight states.

The companies had been tangled in a stalemate over contract negotiations since Dec. 31, 2018, prohibiting TDS from carrying Nexstar stations which, depending on market area, included ABC, CBS and Fox programming, in addition to other channels.

“I would like to personally thank our customers for their patience and cooperation during the negotiations,” TDS Telecom CEO Jim Butman said in a press release. “Because of their support we were able to come to a reasonable agreement with Nexstar.”

TDS says the terms of the agreement will not be released to the public.
