Alzheimer’s Association launches free 4-week series ‘All About Alzheimers’

ST. GEORGE — The Alzheimer’s Association will begin a four-week drop-in series titled “All About Alzheimer’s” starting Jan. 8. and running the following three Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Southwest Utah Regional office in St. George, at 1173 S. 250 West, Suite 302.

Community members, caregivers and health care professionals who attend will be able to pick up valuable information about Alzheimer’s disease and learn about the extensive resources available from the Alzheimer’s Association, including research data and care and support protocols. They will also be able to gain firsthand knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on our friends and loved ones.

There is no charge to attend these programs.

Each session will also feature a video program highlighting the following topics:

  • “Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters” on Jan. 8.
  • “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” on Jan. 15.
  • “Living with Alzheimer’s, Tips for Caregivers” on Jan. 22.
  • “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” on Jan. 29.
