Man arrested in Payson after allegedly stealing SUV from St. George car dealership

ST. GEORGE — Thanks to the fast action of two Utah police departments and OnStar, an SUV was safely returned to a St. George auto dealership this week after a man allegedly swiped a key and drove the vehicle north.

Police apprehend reckless driver with gas hose hanging from car in Hurricane

ST. GEORGE — A driver reportedly weaving and swerving along State Street in Hurricane with a gas hose hanging from the car was spotted by an officer who happened to be in the right place at the right time Friday afternoon.

Grand Canyon, Zion, other popular parks remain partly operational despite shutdown

ST. GEORGE — Despite a federal government shutdown, Utah officials plan to underwrite the costs of maintaining “business as usual” at the state’s most popular national parks through the holidays. Grand Canyon National Park will also remain accessible with limited services thanks to financial support from the state of Arizona.
