‘Light the Night’ at St. George Art Museum to feature luminary festival, St. George Opera performance

ST. GEORGE — The St. George Art Museum is inviting the public to the “Light the Night’ event on Friday, which will include a luminary festival and a holiday performance by the St. George Opera company and resident artists.

Come out for an intimate winter wonderland evening of song, from the famous “Hallelujah” chorus of Handel’s “Messiah” to Irving Berlin’s “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.”

According to a press release from St. George Opera, the concert will feature 12 songs to fill your heart and soul with the holiday spirit, including solos, duets, trios and group numbers. Artists include Phillipe C. Hall, Dr. Amy Nielsen, Allison Hunt, Candace Washburn, Shannon Birch, Erickson Franco, Connor Lee and Rachel Cox, with accompanist Heather Carol.

The performance begins at 6:30 p.m. and will run approximately 60-70 minutes. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased by calling 435-627-4525. Tickets can also be purchased at the door; however, advanced sales are encouraged to guarantee a spot, as seating is limited.
