HURRICANE — Entrepreneur, community facilitator and owner of Easy Shop Insurance Nic Lauritzen has been chosen for the December 2018 Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce “Business of the Month” award.
The business of the month recognition is awarded to businesses and businesspeople who have contributed extensive time, energy and resources to the Hurricane Valley area and Southern Utah region. The chamber described why it chose Lauritzen in a press release:
Lauritzen has proven himself to be a motivated, enthusiastic and successful businessman as well as an unwavering champion for the less fortunate and tormented children in our community. The Make Kindness Easy project he incorporated has stirred the conscience of many school aged children and adults alike.
He sets an example of true charity and demonstrates genuine kindness and affection for all those he encounters. As a strong supporter of the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce and Hurricane Valley Community, Lauritzen is revered by his peers for the way he conducts himself and operates his business.
The Hurricane Valley Chamber will pay tribute to Lauritzen and Easy Shop Insurance at the annual HVCC Christmas luncheon this Thursday. The luncheon will begin with time for networking at 11:30 a.m., and recognitions and lunch will begin at noon. The luncheon is held in the Bryce Canyon Room at the Hurricane Community Center, 63 S. 100 West.
The chamber is accepting donated nonperishable food items at the luncheon for a food drive hosted by Stevens Henager College in support of the Utah Food Bank. All donations will be distributed to Southern Utah families.
