Police immediately opened an investigation and called in additional resources while officers canvassed the immediate area then expanded the search from there, St. George Police Capt. Mike Giles said at a press conference held Thursday afternoon in front of the St. George Police Department building.
Giles said detectives were investigating the child’s disappearance as possibly suspicious.
He added that a reverse 911 page was sent out to subscribers within a predetermined radius detailing information to inform residents of the missing child’s status in a pre-scripted message.
Authorities also contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to report Stratton’s disappearance, and were put in touch with “Team Adam,” a program that sends on-site assistance to law enforcement agencies and families in serious cases of missing children.
The child was located shortly before 4:30 p.m., and St. George Police Officer Tiffany Atkin said in an update, “Thank you to everyone who reached out in an effort to locate Brandon. He is safe, healthy, and happy.”

I hope that Child Protective Services takes a good hard look at this situation. I know there is information about this that isn’t being released to the media, but something about this just doesn’t pass the sniff test!
