Traffic alert: Flooding causes road closure on South River Road

ST. GEORGE — According to a Facebook post from the St. George Police Department, a portion of River Road has been closed due to flooding and alternative routes are being suggested.

Per the Facebook post:

SGPD officials further requested people stay clear of the flood plains and river edges and reminded people not to attempt to drive through flooding areas.

    This storm really seemed unusual as it kicked off all night, especially targeting south of town and north of Kanab all the way to Alton. The Virgin was kicking her heels.
