Fayette Morgan

Fayette H. Morgan, 102, passed away June 18. She was the wife of Charles Banker Morgan, and they shared nine years of marriage together until his tragic death at an early age.

Born in Wellsville, Utah, she was the daughter of Thomas Glenn Hendry and Nancy Elizabeth Bankhead Baugh. She graduated from Wellsville High School with honors and attended the University of Southern California.

She was employed for the state of California, Division of Highways. She started as a senior stenographer and was promoted to supervisor over the Civil Engineer Department. She gave 31 years of hard work and dedication to the state of California.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, reading, watching mystery shows, journaling, serving others, reading scriptures, going to the temple and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her loving willingness to serve others and her hard dedication and determination to push through any obstacles thrown her way.

She loved helping family members whenever they came across hard times and was always willing to give love and support. Her religion was a major cornerstone in her life. She loved serving the Lord and always tried to influence others for good.

She is survived by two sons, seven grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Banker Morgan.

Funeral services

  • Funeral services will be held June 23 at 11 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 17th Ward Chapel, located at 272 S. 700 West, Hurricane, Utah.
  • A visitation will be held prior to funeral services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the chapel.
  • Graveside services will be held June 25 at 2 p.m. at the Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville, Utah.
