ST. GEORGE – A Hurricane man is facing felony charges out of Mohave County, Arizona, for allegedly making “inappropriate comments” toward women and also touching them.
Dennis Lewis Sanders, 52, was arrested by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and faces six felony counts of harassment and one felony count of sexual abuse, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were made aware of allegations of his inappropriate conduct by a woman who claimed that several other women had been harassed by Sanders, a manager of a business on Central Street in Colorado City, Arizona.
“Most of the women alleged that they had been inappropriately touched by Sanders or that he had made inappropriate comments about their appearance on several different occasions,” the press release states.
The Sheriff’s Office collected multiple reports made by the women, and deputies contacted Sanders at the business he managed. He denied the allegations, claiming it was a “he said, she said” situation.
Sanders was arrested and booked into the jail in Mesquite, Nevada.
The investigation is ongoing.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
