Margaret Miles Mohr, age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 30, 2016, in Riverton, Utah, due to causes incident to age. Born on July 25, 1939, in St. George, Utah, to Walter Jarvis and Eva Leavitt Miles. She was the third of six children. She graduated from Dixie High School, attended Dixie College, and graduated from Weber State College with a degree in nursing. For many years, she worked as a registered nurse in the Salt Lake, Las Vegas and St. George areas.

Margaret was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived a full life of kindness and service. She had many challenges in her life, but she was a strong, optimistic woman who touched the lives of everyone around her. Her love for reading was very evident in her life.

She worked/volunteered many hours at schools reading to children. She loved reading about United States, Utah and LDS Church history. She was also an avid sports fan, especially with BYU and any school or athlete affiliated with the State of Utah. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She married Fred Arthur Mohr in Las Vegas and had two wonderful children, Thomas Paul Mohr and Katharine Mary Bradshaw. Later divorced. She is survived by her siblings, Walter Mar (Pacita), Don (Linda), Lloyd (Kathryn), Roland (Palma), and Lorna (Albert), her daughter, Katharine (Travis), six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son, Tom and her parents, Walter and Eva Miles.

Funeral Services

  • Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff St, St. George, Utah, at 10 a.m.
  • Family and friends may visit Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also Saturday one hour prior to services.
  • Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
