
SOUTHERN UTAH – The National Weather Service issued a “Significant Weather Advisory” Monday for strong, high winds through 7:30 p.m.

Western Washington, Western Garfield, Iron, Sevier, Beaver, Kane and Millard counties
Wind speed
Winds of 40-55 mph will be possible
Timing
Monday evening until 7:30 p.m.
Impacts
Cedar City, St. George, Washington City, Hurricane, Santa Clara, Enoch, La Verkin, Parowan, Panguitch, Paragonah, Marysvale, New Harmony, Hatch, Garrison, Zion National Park and Summit.
Precautionary, preparedness actions
Strong winds with showers may occur well ahead of any rain. The National Weather Service advises that residents do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
