ST. GEORGE – A test drive for a prospective buyer of a gray Toyota Camry took a turn for the worse Thursday morning when the driver turned in front of a blue Buick and the two vehicles collided at the intersection of 200 North and Bluff Street in St. George.
At approximately 10:14 a.m., the driver of the Buick was heading south on Bluff Street and began to turn left onto 200 North, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said. At the same time, the driver of the Camry was traveling west on 200 North and attempting to turn left to go south on Bluff Street.
The driver of the Camry didn’t see the Buick, Despain said, and the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision, Despain said.
The Camry sustained a moderate amount of damage to the front of the vehicle while the Buick was more severely damaged on the front driver’s side and was towed from the scene.
Despain said the driver of the Camry was issued a citation for failure to yield.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
